| Investigator Maryland, MD Investigator Entry A-003 Maryland Private Investigator Subject: Wife Location(s): Pasadena, Maryland | Hanover, Maryland | Ellicott City, Maryland Related Case Information: Wife works full time but has flexibility with her schedule. Husband discovered that an old high school boyfriend is coming into town for a week from California to stay with his brother. The brother lives and works at a local marina. The husband has put a GPS tracking device on his wife's vehicle. The investigators job is to maintain surveillance of the marina and document activity if the wife shows up. Day #1: Investigators arrive at the marina and discover that there is very limited parking. One investigators hides in the rear of his mini van behind tinted windows while the other investigator waits at a local 7-Eleven. After a couple of hours the client calls to inform the investigators that his wife is heading in the direction of the marina. More time passes and the wife finally arrives. The investigator in able to video tape the wife walking around the corner of one of the marina buildings out of view. The other investigator pulls into the parking lot and identifies two possible doors on the side of the building but is not able to stay in the area without drawing attention. The investigator leaves the parking lot and will be able to follow the wife's vehicle if necessary. Two hours later the wife and boyfriend walk holding hands into the parking lot together. They kiss and hug several times at her car, all within view of the video camera. The wife drives away and the boyfriend returns to the marina. Day #2: Investigators setup the same way and wait at the marina. The wife again arrives but this time the second investigator is able to drive within view of the door that she is entering. The investigator is able to video tape the boyfriend opening the side door and allowing the wife to enter. After a few hours the wife and boyfriend exit holding hands and get into the wife's car. They drive about 30 minutes and eat lunch together. After lunch they appear to be apartment shopping eventually returning to the marina. Investigators are able to put them behind closed doors again for a couple of hours and then more hugging and kissing as the wife leaves for the day. After this second day there is plenty of evidence to prove that the wife is committing Adultery but the client wants to continue getting as much evidence as possible while the boyfriend is in town. Surveillance continued another three days with similar results. |
| Maryland Private Investigator Entry A-004 Subject: Multiple Persons Location(s): Laurel, Maryland Related Case Information: A company is having a possible theft problem. Large air compressors are being returned to the warehouse by customers (normal part of their business) but these returns are disappearing. This is a small warehouse that supports the local area while the main office is in Maine. The job of the investigators is to monitor the business for any activity related to the air compressors, before the warehouse opens and well into the night after closing. Day #1: Investigators establish surveillance locations with the rear loading dock doors in view just before 5:00am. Since the trucks block most of the view inside the warehouse the investigators have to setup on a slight angle in order to see anything moving onto or off of the trucks. Although there is a lot of activity no unusual activity is noted and surveillance is discontinued at 1:00am the following morning. Once the business closed at 6:00pm, no one came back to the warehouse. Day #2: Investigators setup again at 5:00am. Just before lunch investigators see two large air compressors move from the warehouse into the companies dumpster. The air compressors remain there even after the employees leave for the day and the warehouse is closed. Investigators are expecting someone to return later tonight to retrieve the items. It's not 1:00am and there has been no activity. The investigators are instructed to get the Serial Numbers off of the compressors so that the main office can do some research the next day. Day #3: Investigators arrive at 5:00am and the compressors are still present. The main office calls the investigators around noon to inform them that the compressors are defective and are supposed to be destroyed, but not just tossed into the dumpster. Helpful news about employees not following company policy but not the theft that they were expecting. Around 2:00pm an old pickup truck arrives and the two passengers talk to the warehouse supervisor. All three of them walk over to the dumpster and look at the compressors. Eventually the compressors are loaded into the pickup truck and the truck drives away. Investigators already video taped the two people in the truck and have the tag number if needed. Investigators decide to follow the truck. The truck arrives at a local scrap yard where the truck is dropping off the compressors. This information is communicated to the main office and surveillance is continued through the night as planned. No further surveillance was scheduled. Further research by the company related to the two Serial Numbers on the compressors uncovered a simple paperwork communication problem where all defective compressors APPEARED to disappear from the books. So there was no actual theft problem at warehouse, just communication issues related to the defective compressors. |
